Class 101 DMU at Corstorphine

30th December 1967

Corstorphine station on th elast day of passenger operation - 30 December 1967. The Railscot website notes the Gloucester twin on the left will depart at 13.24 on the last through train to North Berwick. The two Met-Camms on the right (set 73, looks like SC50290 closest, and 67) will form the last passenger train from the station, the 13.36 (SO) to Edinburgh Waverley. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Class 101 DMU at Cambridge

October 1975

Metro-Cammell Class "101" Local Passenger 3-car dmu consisting of Class 101/2 No.E51222 and Class 144 No.E56380 in Rail Blue livery with all yellow front ends at Cambridge on a Bishops Stortford service, 10/75. The pair would be transferred to Hull the following month. Hugh Llewelyn.

Class 100 DMU at Cambridge

3rd August 1976

The blind says that E51115 is heading for Bishops Stortford, and signs in the cab proclaim it is set 73, "3 TUE" is thought to be when maintenance was due. Seen at Cambridge on Tuesday 3/8/76, it's paired with a Class 105 vehicle. Ian Francis.

Class 100 DMU at Doncaster

circa 1979

Gloucester RCW Class 100 (Norwich set 73, probably with DMBS E51115 nearest camera) at Doncaster whilst "Pinky" 47370 heads a southbound coal train - c.1979 In 1976 Set 73 comprised DMBS E51115 paired with an unknown Class 105 vehicle. Set 73 has probably just arrived on 0910 from Cambridge via the Joint Line. 53A Models of Hull Collection.

Gloucester RCW Class 100 Motor Brake Second E51115 leads an Ipswich to Lowestoft service at Westerfield on 23 February,1980. Glen Batten.

Class 100 DMU at York

27th September 1980

Class 100 E51115 at York station on 27 September 1980. We had travelled from Edinburgh overnight to join the RCTS (West Riding Branch) North Eastern No.5 Railtour but this meant hours roaming York station in the wee small hours waiting for the first train of the day to Leeds. Photographing this relatively unusual visitor relieved the monotony a little. Alistair Ness.

Class 101 DMU at Thornaby

25th June 1988

About to call at Thornaby Station is a Class 101 Met-Camm DMU formed of 53252 and 51515. I had just paid my £1 which gained me entrance to Thornaby TMD, which you could do in those days, wandering around a large TMD taking photographs etc. AndrewHA.
