In refurbished white with blue stripe livery, a three-car Class 101 DMU with Driving Motor Brake Second W51446 leading presumably with 59547 + 51517, was passing alongside Dawlish Warren Road on one side, and the Exe Estuary on the other side, as it approached the footcrossing at Cockwood whilst working an Exeter St Davids to Paignton all-stations service on May 29th 1981. On the right is Class 116 BR Derby Suburban set C333, W51148 + W59445 + W51135 which had arrived on the 09.17 Penarth - Cardiff and was about to leave as the 09.45 to Merthyr. On the left, still in all over blue is Class 118 BRCW set B468 W51310 + W59471 + W51325 which had come in on the 08.25 from Gloucester. It was attached to Met Cam Class 101 set B801 (W51446 + W 59547 + W51517) after this shot was taken and then worked the 09.55 to Weston-Super-Mare. Gerard Fletcher.
