A road vehicle hit a railway bridge on the Aberdeen - Inverness Line, knocking it out of alignment, which was then hit by set 304 which derailed. More Details.

A Class 120 set formed 51793 + 59684 + 51785 sets next to a Class 110 set at Manchester Victoria. Taken at 18:18 on Saturday 4th February 1984. Mel Holley.
Coasting down towards New Mills South Junction is a six car Swindon Cross-Country class 120 dmu formation, headed by M51793 + M59684 + M51785 with a returning summer Saturday Skegness - Manchester Piccadilly working. These units were not common along here, it's possibly the only time I saw one here! 7th September 1985. Andrew J Crowther.
C621 (51785 + 51793) sits beside a Class 128 at Shrewsbury on 30 December 1980, having arrived on the 05:44 from Swansea. The 128 will leave on the 09:40 parcels service to Newtown. Tom Clift.
