E50830/59343/50883 with 2N73 the 1125 Carlisle to Newcastle departing from Brampton Fell signalbox after picking up a C&W inspector who had come from Hexham to examine a wagon detached in the refuge siding with a hot box, 1st March 1968. Keith Long.
Refurbished Class 116 set TS525 (presumably 50830 + 59332 + 50883) with Class 122 55003 on the rear at Small Heath Bridge with a Moor Street service in August 1978. Michael Mensing.
A four-car Tyseley DMU, set 401, passing the signalbox at Bearley Junction on 11 March 1989. This unit is a right hotch-potch with a class 116 DMS 53883, class 115 TS 59743, class 127 TSL 59610 and Class 115 DMBS 51662. This mixture of types was far from unusual at Tyseley around this time with the depot using whatever they had available to keep trains running at a time of dreadful reliability. Peter Tandy.
