Class 122 DMU at Eastfield Depot

circa mid-1970s

Freshly painted with a brown underframe Class 122 DTS SC56299 is seen on Eastfield depot. Date unknown, it was allocated to the depot from March 1972 till August 1977 when it was withdrawn. Stuart Mackay Collection.

SC56299 is seen awaiting it's fate, stripped of all re-useable parts at Glasgow Works. Malcolm Clements.

Many DMUs sat around at Millerhill awaiting journeys south for scrapping. SC56299 plus another (56291 or 56297) and a Mk.1 sleeping car sit in the slush of a winter's day in January 1982. Alistair Ness.
