ADB 977177 'SANDRA' at Ardlui on 15/10/84. Sandra was not a womans name but was derived from one of 977177s duties as a 'SAN'-DITE unit to apply SANDITE GEL to assist with Adhesion. On this occasion it was on test on the West Highland Line, neither it or any SANDITE trains were normally used on the West Highland Line. This unit also ran in the summer months as a 'Q' Train which basically ran around the Glasgow suburban network full of BT Police to apprehend unsuspecting trespassers,
