Scrapper. Swindon Class 126 Trailer Sc59402 languishes at Falkland Yard (Down Side) adjacent to the beach. This is the corridor side, the compartments and lavatories were on the other side. Originally a Composite it was declassified to all Second and is shown as a TSL on the vehicle end, above the 'White Circle'. Withdrawn Swindon vehicles were stored here or at the former Co-op Coal Sidings to the south of Ayr station prior to component recovery, boarding up and onward rail transfer for scrap. Sunday 24 October 1982
