Details

Class 114 set T027 (presumably 53019 + 54027) after shunting into platform 2 at Stratford-upon-Avon on 28 March 1990 and prior to departure for Leamington Spa.

The upper quadrant starter is in the off position but the guard hasn't changed the destination blind, probably realising that it wasn't worth the effort as the few passsengers using the train in the mid-afternoon would have had as good a knowledge as him where the train was going.

The signal to the left of the starter controlled the exit from the down goods loop which ran behind the signalbox; this was still occasionally used at the time for stabling the stock of excursion trains. It wasn't long for this world though, being severed the following year and removed altogether within a few months.
