After 55000 had shunted from platform 1 to 2 at Stratford-upon-Avon on 16 May 1986 an arrival from Birmingham Moor Street was allowed to enter the station ready to form the 08.26 back to Birmingham. Tyseley class 116 unit T627 formed of 53061 + 59613 + 53092 is shown here passing the inner home signal with the starters for platform 3 and the Cold Store siding on the right of the picture. Half of Stratford East (sometimes wrongly called Stratford North) signalbox is just visible at the back of the 3 car unit.
