Class 117 DMU T305 (51368 + 59520 + 51410) was repainted into a chocolate and cream livery for the GWR celebrations in 1985 and was still in those colours on 1 April 1989 when I photographed it near Soho Junction in Birmingham. Most the of the local services were operated with electric units so I assume that this one heading to Birmingham New Street had come from beyond Wolverhampton on the Shrewsbury line.
