Tyseley allocated W51058 leads a GRC&W Cross-Country and a suburban triple DMU south of Appleford with the 4.40pm Wolverhampton Low Level - Didcot service on 9 May 1964. Michael Mensing.

Appleford Halt on 11 September 1971. Although the track has been relaid with concrete sleepers, the Halt itself still retains its GWR features - wooden platforms, the pagoda-shaped corrugated iron waiting shelters, and (off to the right) a brown and cream "APPLEFORD HALT" nameboard. BRC&W unit 470 (presumably 50305 + 59472 + 51320) is entering with the 17.20 Oxford to Paddington train. No doubt I'd visited Pendon, a modest walk across the meadows from here. Tom Burnham.
