A dmu arrives at Buxton from Manchester in February 1970 on the LNWR route via Stockport Edgeley & Chapel-en-le-Frith. The white roof was a Buxton depot trademark. The tracks in the foreground led from the station to a junction on the line to Ashbourne by this time cut back to limestone quarries south of Buxton. Two Buxton allocated Derby built class 108 dmu's on the blocks at Buxton station along with ADB965222 one of the two independent snow ploughs that Buxton had, always ready for use even in July!
