Double bubble at Liskeard. Set number 127 means this should be 55027, the other is 129 (55029). Date unknown, but both were allocated to Plymouth 1968/69-72. Stuart Rankin.

Western 1043 arrives into Liskeard station with the up Golden Hind, the 05:05 Penzanze - Paddington on Thursday 25 July 1974. Class 116 set P356 had been detached from the 05:45 Plymouth - Newquay service to work a service to Looe at 06:20. Roger Geach.

The Looe branch train at Liskeard on 2nd January 1975, formed of Derby set P322 (possibly 50132 closest?). The dmu is standing in the Looe platform that is located on the north side of the station at right-angles to the GWR main line beyond. Just noticed the brake van in the siding on the far left. The line runs north for a short distance before swinging sharply to the east & passing beneath the main line continuing round to head north again to Coombe Junction & reversal down to Looe. Class 120 set number P554 (presumably vehicles 51575 and 51584) sets off from Liskeard on another trip to Looe in July, 1978. Glen Batten.

High above Trago Mills a Penzance to Plymouth working has just crossed St Pinnick viaduct next stop Liskeard. This location has been impossible to do since about 1980 completely overgrown, even then it was very tight. The west side has been back on again but the trees are a growing up fast. roger geach.

Class 121 W55025 Liskeard 30 April 1979. We had to get off on the branch platform and wait on the main line platform while the Bubble repositioned after working the last service of the day up from Looe and then formed a stopper to Plymouth. Sadly despite me working for BR at the time the crew wouldn't allow us to stay on board to do the rare connecting line off the branch. Somewhat oddly after this they did however agree to make a special unscheduled stop to set down at Devonport where we were staying in the Youth Hostel, thus saving us the trek back out from the city centre.
