A Met-Camm publicity image of a 2-car "Lightweight" set working a Norwich-Wells service. The location is probably beside the River Wensum near Sennowe Park on the County School to Ryburgh section of the Wells branch, looking north west. Trailer car E79268 is leading. The date will be the mid 1950's given the clean condition of the set which evidently hasn't seen a huge amount of service. Chris Moxon Collection.

Whiskers on the cab front were not yet standard, although earlier deliveries from Met-Camm to the LMR (such as 50338) had them from new. Metropolitan Cammell.

Cravens twin set E56419 + E51261 was one of many exhibits at a rolling stock and equipment exhibition at Noel Park Goods Yard (on the Seven Sisters - Palace Gates branch) by the Great Northern line. 24,000 people attended the event held from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th September 1958. British Railways.

A BRC&W driver trailer set departs from Sutton Park in October 1963. M56177 leads, presumably with long-term (and original) partner M50534. "2G" is painted on the bufferbeam the code for Ryecroft depot, a new code issued the previous month replacing 21F. Another recent change was the moving of the electrification warning flash from the lower cab to the window (instruction issued in September 1962). Note the roof colour, a much lighter colour than the cab dome. This image appeared in the 1970 DMU ABC. Michael Mensing.
