Class 105 DTCL E56414 stands on the Cambridge MPD refuelling point on the 18th September 1977 attached to an unknown Class 105 DMBS. Judging by the Kings Cross destination blind I imagine she was still allocated to Finsbury Park MPD at this time although she had moved north to Norwich by 1980. Withdrawn in November 1982 she was scrapped at Snailwell during October 1983. Bob Woolnough.

Cravens Class 105 DMU set 66 led by 56435 arrives at Norwich on Saturday 15 October 1977 with either the 14.35 Lowestoft to Norwich, or the 14.52 Yarmouth to Norwich. Rob Paterson.

An ex-Eastern Region Cravens Class 105 DMU (the DTC appears to be 56127), was stood in bay platform 3C at Preston with a service to Ormskirk (despite the destination display) on October 22nd 1977. Martyn Hilbert.

A DMU formation of at least six-cars (105, 105, maybe a 108) at Colwyn Bay. Date unknown, the slide process date was June 1978. With Accrington is the destination blind and the leading set being a power-twin this is probably a working to/from the Manchester area. Stuart Mackay Collection.

Stratford-upon-Avon station seen from the Alcester Road bridge circa 1978. The train in platform 3 is a hybrid unit of one coach a class 105 and two of class 116. Note the different number of white painted door steps of the class 116 showing that these units had a greater number of doors for suburban use. The other DMU in platform 1 had just arrived and is one of the "reverse colour" class 116s. This will be going to Birmingham Moor Street after shunting into platform 2, while in the Down Goods Loop is a charter headed by a pair of class 25s. On the left of the picture is the site of the food store with the canopy of the loading bay just visible. Goods for the cold store were taken by rail to the then loop line, known locally as the Cold Store Loop, to the left of the blue DMU and then shunted into the store's own line for unloading. On 03/01/1978, a Class 105 forms the 1215 Newcastle-Sunderland seen at the construction site of Heworth station - the train appears to be following what would become the Metro tracks. Graeme Phillips Collection.
