An official image (Derby Works negative 58-231) showing a new three-car Cravens DMU with M50800 and presumably M59322 and M50767, new in January 1958. Met-Camm M50327 can be seen in the distance to the left, it would also be posed for an official image here. British Railways.
The interior of a Cravens vehicle, Derby Works negative 58/238. This was from a three-car photographed circa March 1958. It has a toilet at the rear left so it is the DMCL or the TSL, the floor hatches suggest it is the power car M50800. British Railways.
A three-car Cravens DMU in Matlock Bath station, date unknown. The DMCL closest appears to be M50801 and has Manchester on the destination blind. Stuart Mackay Collection.
Under a threatening sky, a Cravens Class 105 Power-Twin 2-car DMU with DMCL M50801 leading, was stood at Bamber Bridge with a Colne to Preston service on July 25th 1977. The Power-Twin Class 105 fleet allocated to Newton Heath Depot were the mainstay of services in East Lancashire during the 1970's. Martyn Hilbert.
On a bright Winter day, A Cravens Class 105 power-twin with Driving Motor Composite Lavatory M50801 at the rear, was stood at Bamber Bridge with a Preston to Colne service on January 27th 1979. On that cold day that Cravens would have no doubt been warm on the inside, complete with its oily/diesel smell aroma. What price now a ride to Colne in first class with a view of the line through the rear cab? Martyn Hilbert.

A three-car Cravens set operating the 4:55pm Leicester (London Road) - Derby (Midland) service is seen approaching Bagworth and Ellistown on May 11th, 1963. The DMC appears to be M50803. Michael Mensing.
The doors were open on Cravens Class 105 Power-Twin formed of cars M50804 and M50765 whilst it was stood at Manchester Victoria after arrival from Blackburn on March 27th 1979. Martyn Hilbert.
Evening light at Cocker Bar on the approach to Midge Hall, as a Cravens Power-Twin formed of cars M50804/M50758 powers along with the 18.49 Ormskirk to Preston service on May 12th 1981. The former double track formation along this former main line is clearly visible in this view. Martyn Hilbert.
Bringing up the rear of a well-loaded four-car Preston to Colne service, Cravens Class 105 Power-Twin Driving Composite Lavatory car M50804 was stood at Bamber Bridge on May 13th 1981. A familiar daily sight along the East Lancashire line from the late 1960's, the then (1981) well-worn Newton Heath fleet of power-twins would shortly have started to be withdrawn from service. The local track gang had their yellow liveried BMC crew bus parked in the station car park. Martyn Hilbert.
There appears to have been some repair work done to the timber level crossing gates at Rufford on May 13th 1981. With some of the gates in primer, Cravens Class 105 Power-Twin formed of cars M50804 & M50765 on the 17.19 Preston to Ormskirk, was awaiting the arrival of the 17.28 Ormskirk to Preston, due at 17.38, off the single line section. This was in the days when peak-hour services in the morning & evening saw services utilise the passing loop at Rufford. Martyn Hilbert.
A wide view of Bamber Bridge with a Newton Heath Cravens Class 105 Power-Twin, formed of cars M50804 & M50765, stood with a Colne to Preston service on May 18th 1981. The former Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway stone built waiting room (complete with 'scar' on the West end where the Gents was once located), was still standing on the Blackburn bound platform. The opposite platform was still low-height, and included some wooden steps as access to the doors of DMU's for those whose mobility was not great. Martyn Hilbert.
Cravens and Birmingham R.C.W. DMUs in Blackpool North excursion platforms on Sunday 09 June 1968. Vehicles are M50805 / 50439 / 59175 / 59148 / 50438 (order not known). Possibly M50805 + 59148 + 50439 (three recent arrivals at Newton Heath) then 50438 + 59175 forming the start of the set behind. Talbot Road Bus Station / Car Park is in the background. Ian 10B.

A Cravens Class 105 Power-Twin with Driving Motor Composite Lavatory car M50807 leading, was coupled to a 3-Car BRCW Class 104 set, stood at Poulton-Le-Fylde with a Blackpool North to Manchester Victoria service on June 28th 1980. Martyn Hilbert.
