Two Derby Heavyweight three-car sets (later Class 107s) at Rutherglen, circa early 1970s, DMBS Sc51993 closest. The destination blind is displaying Hillington, but is on the wrong line and going in the wrong direction, so it is thought to be heading to Hamilton depot after having worked a morning “Workers Special” to Hillington West, which serves a large industrial estate. The empty stock had been put into the Up Goods Loop on the Shotts line for the driver to change ends, the set was to form a service from Kirknewton Station to Edinburgh Waverley.
