A GRC&W Cross-Country Class 119 DMU at Bradford on Avon station on 5 July 1974. It appears to be set P581 (presumably 51067 + 59426 + 51095) which had been transferred from Plymouth to Bristol a few weeks before. Tom Burnham.

7th of September 1974 and its a grey and rainy day in Gloucester. Class 119 DMU set B572 is working the 07.35 Swindon to Cheltenham service. If the set was in correct formation it would have comprised 51054 + 59413 + 51082. The KDH Archive.

The department in Rail House at Manchester that used to be responsible for day excursions came up with the brilliant idea of an overnight trip to Penzance and an overnight trip home! Corridor stock and enough room to get some kip! Mr Heyl and myself got a day return to Plymouth and stopped off at Truro to do the Falmouth branch. This is how it was in 1974. A man with a bag on wheels, years ahead of his time! Grumpy guard next to the unit (51079, 51107, 59437) waiting for the passengers, man checking tickets at the bottom of the ramp - a true 'moment in time'. 5th October 1974. Arnie Furniss.

Sun 20 Apr 1975 at 16:04. A GRCW 3-car Cross Country dmu set near Warminster forming [1V28] the 15:40 Salisbury-Cardiff Central. The handle of the tail lamp obscures the last digit of the st number but it could be B578 (W51064, W59423 and W51092). Mr Deltic.
