A Class 120 Swindon DMU is seen at St Andrews Junction, Birmingham, with an ECS (probably from Tyseley) on 16 April 1977. M50734 is closest displaying Norwich on the destination blind. Michael Mensing.

Swindon Cross-Country Class 120 DMU set C514 passing Neath East signal box(since demolished) on a down passenger service on 21 May 1977. DMSL W50694 is closest, the other two vehicles are presumably 59279 + 50732. Robert Thomas.

It shows the rear end of Sc51783 (still fitted with a tablet catcher on the van door), the exhaust silencer on the rear end, and the gangway through to 59683 on the right. Note the 'squared' and oval buffer. The various bits of text tell us this was taken circa June 1977, the C1 completion date and buckeye exam being 11th June, the work being done at 7076 (Glasgow Works). This was probably taken at Wormit goods yard. British Rail.

The J Stone box is the dynamo regulator, the plain box to the right is the lighting relays, and the two small boxes above the dynamo contain fuse. It shows the toilet end of either centre car Sc59683 or DMSL Sc51792, the seat numbering on the wall (numbers 3 and 4) suggest the former as the power car numbering would likely start at the cab? Through the sliding door with the window were two toilets, one on either side, in-between was the door to the next vehicle. Taken while crossing the Tay Bridge, looking towards Dundee. British Rail.
