Two Swindon Cross-Country Class 120 DMUs at the north end of the old St Devereux station on 6 April 1974, probably on a Crewe-Cardiff service. The centre car still has an active buffet, with 'Buffet' on the bodyside and red stripe. George Woods.

A class 120 dmu departing Inverness for Aberdeen on 08-04-1974. An everyday sight from 1960 to 1980, seven 3 car class 120 sets were based at Inverness for the direct service to Aberdeen. Also seen on the branches of the old Great North of Scotland Railway in Aberdeenshire and Banffshire until Dr. Beeching put a stop to that. Gordon Thomson.

Gloucester was the southwestern extent of my Midlands Runabout ticket and I had just arrived from Birmingham and would soon take the bridge to Eastgate and return from there back to Birmingham shortly.
