E52087 heads along the down relief lines at Oxmardyke on 5th April 1983 at the front of a Trans-Pennine service to Hull. Gilberdyke station can be seen in the background and this view shows a fine variety of the semaphore signalling in use at the time. Syd Young.

A four-car set with E52093 leading forms a Hull - Sheffield Trans-Pennine service on 5th April 1983. The train is passing the outer home signal at Broomfleet and is travelling on the up relief line which suggests it's next port of call will be Gilberdyke. Syd Young.
Back in the days of decent trains and station staff, a diagram took these wonderful Trans-Pennine units from Hull to Beverley and back meaning I got to travel to and from work in style. E52094 brings up the rear of the 16:41 Hull - Beverley on 3rd November 1978. Fred the Station Attendant who worked there for many years looks on to make sure I'm not up to no good! Syd Young.
Passing right in front of people's houses, E52096 arrives at a very dull Hull on 23rd February 1980. The semi-derelict housing along Selby Street does nothing to lift the feeling of gloom. The footbridge from which this photograph was taken is still there, but all the houses have long been demolished. Syd Young.

A Class 123 Swindon Inter-City set arrives at Hull Paragon with a service from Manchester Piccadilly on 29th May 1978. E52099, complete with lamp and end doors brings up the rear. Also in this view are a Cravens Class 105 2-car set waiting to travel up the Scarborough line, a Metro-Cammell Class 101 unit and a Class 124 Trans-Pennine set.
