E52087 heads along the down relief lines at Oxmardyke on 5th April 1983 at the front of a Trans-Pennine service to Hull. Gilberdyke station can be seen in the background and this view shows a fine variety of the semaphore signalling in use at the time. Syd Young.

A four-car set with E52093 leading forms a Hull - Sheffield Trans-Pennine service on 5th April 1983. The train is passing the outer home signal at Broomfleet and is travelling on the up relief line which suggests it's next port of call will be Gilberdyke. Syd Young.
Back in the days of decent trains and station staff, a diagram took these wonderful Trans-Pennine units from Hull to Beverley and back meaning I got to travel to and from work in style.
