Class 101 at Kilmacolm Last Train on 8 January 1983. I used to use the Kilmacolm service from Glasgow Central to Paisley Canal each evening on my commute home from work. This was the last train after arrival at Kilmacolm and I have to confess I think it is taken by my friend Douglas as my Agfa film couldn't cope! Alistair Ness.

Class 107s & 126 Largs 9 Oct 1982 The 'Ayrshire Wanderer' railtour was organised by the Swindon Preservation Society (SPS) and used the same name as the previous year's BLS tour doing exactly what it said on the headboard. The class also remained in service for a bit longer than planned after the tour which had meant to see them being withdrawn from service the following day. Here we see the train at Largs with Sc51043 closest, one of the vehicles the SPS would purchase the following year for preservation. Alistair Ness.
