The formation of the train was interesting as it comprised two ex Inverness based Class 120 vehicles SC51787 + SC59685 and Class 101 SC51529. Alistair Ness.

For some reason we spent ages here, probably due to awaiting a path on the Stranraer line where we were headed next, so I put the time to good use and walked much further away from the train to take my shot. It was formed of 51787/59685/51529. Alistair Ness.

A Class 110 (Birmingham RC&W) dmu enters with the 18.22 to Manchester Victoria, watched by some of the local youth, on July 29, 1978. Tom Burnham.
