An ER publicity image showing a works outing for 80 staff from Wm. C. Reade of Aldeburgh Ltd (a company that still exists) on a day trip to London, taken at Saxmundham circa January 1958. It was noted as the first diesel train from the area to make this trip. British Railways.

Three of the Manchester Met-Camm "Lightweight" twin sets, thought to be in the Nelson area looking south west towards Briarfield and taken from the foot crossing near Manchester Road, circa late 1950s / early 1960s. Probably on an excursion it's displaying reporting number C113 and the two marker lamps either side have white discs in the slots. See similar images 28218 and 28369. Stuart Mackay Collection.

A fine 'yellow diamond' E79xxx series Metro Cammell twin glides into the bay platforms at Cambridge on September 5th 1964 forming the 17.00 from Ipswich (due 18.43), while over on the left Ipswich based Brush Type 2 D5529 (later the ill fated 31111) stands alongside EE Type 3 D6719 which is just being detached from the stock of the 17.36 from Liverpool Street.
