Royston-Cambridge

Wnen GN outer suburban electric services commenced on 6 February 1978 they ran as far as Royston where passengers would change from an EMU to a connecting DMU to Cambridge. These would initially be operated by six refurbished two-car Class 101s that had been transferred to Cambridge between September 1977 and January 1978.
