Destination Blinds

Few DMUs did not carry destination blinds, and they have become quite collectable.

There have been countless variations in these over the years, due to changing services, and in particular due to lines and stations closing.

For many years the blinds were white text on a black background. In later years black text on white and white text on blue could be found.

These pages contain sample listings of the blinds carried.

One of the main contributors to these pages - Robert Chilton - believes that a couple of his blinds may have been stolen. If anyone spots these for sale then we'd welcome being informed. One is the Carlisle 80s/90s PVC blind, the other is the 1960s Leeds blind, both have very distinguishing features mentioned in the text.
