Having regard to the considerable potential savings in running and maintenance costs, we RECOMMEND that a total sum of £25,000 be authorised to proceed with the construction of a prototype 2-car set.
The firm have undertaken that in the event of any of the experimental features proving finally unsuccesful, they would modify them to a conventional design at their own expense.
