1. West Cumberland

(a) Traffic receipts to 31.3.56. noted :-

(b) Delay in overhaul of units by Works. The Chairman called attention to this delay and Mr.Stanley said everything possible was being done to speed up the overhaul, and the works have now ceased doing repairs for other Regions.

2. Watford - St.Albans

(a) Traffic Receipts to 31.3.56 noted :-

(b) Joint report on working of the branch. Mr.Gould said that a meeting has been called to draw up a joint report and it is hoped that this will be submitted shorty.

3. Bury - Bacup scheme

(b) Whit Monday traffic.  Noted that the Eastern Region cannot loan units to L.M.R. to cover anticipated increased traffic on Whit Monday and that it will be necessary to augment the diesel service by a few steam trains.
