Diagram 590 was shared with Class 127 vehicles, the vehicles being identical.
DMBS 51899 was named 'Aylesbury College' (with an smaller line of text 'Silver Jubilee 1987') on September 20, 1987.
Worksplates were carried on the vehicle solebars to identify the builder and lot number. Many of the worksplate images on the website are by Simeon Gaskell and John Horne.
