A pair of 2 car Park Royal units are arriving at Cannock Station on 13 May 1963. The station was on the Walsall to Rugeley line. Today the line is a useful diversionary route and has a regular passenger service to Rugeley again once again (it lost the previous services in 1965) sadly little freight now uses the line since the closure of Rugeley Power station. The scene here has been completely eradicated. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith. Geoff Dowling and John Whitehouse Collection.
This image was likely taken for the Brush Type 4, at Cannock Road Junction, Wolverhampton, circa mid-1960s. It also features a mixed-livery BRC&W triple set, the far car with the BR logo on the cab door will has a yellow panel not a yellow end, and another couple of DMU sets in the siding - what seems to be a suburban set but with a headcode so not a 116, and what seems to be a Met-Camm further back. The image was taken by Harry Hodgkinson. Stuart Mackay Collection.
