After a test run to Drem and back to Edinburgh Waverley on January 28 1958 are, left to right, Motive Power Superintendent Mr C. Ross Campbell, Mr D.H. Cameron of Lochiel, Mr Peter Meldrum, and Mr F. Donachy, Members of the Scottish Area Board. They are standing outside the cab of a GRC&W twin DMU which would be introduced the following week. British Railways.

In the driver's compartment of a new GRC&W twin DMU are Scottish Region General Manager James Ness, Viscount Elibank, Bailie R.D. Hunter and Driver Lister. This was prior to a demonstration run from Edinburgh Waverley to Drem and back on January 28 1958. British Railways.

A GRC&W twin set at Cromer station on 12 May 1968. That month the Eastern Region had received a batch of these sets moving from Leith Central to Cambridge. The DTCL shows signs of its Scottish background - the yellow first class stripe, the set number and the 'G' on the yellow panel. These were normally applied on top of the blue squares, but photos show that the blue paint used for the squares would often wash off on these sets. George Woods.

Accrington is thought to have just one of the former at this time (51704/51729), the other sets were now at Cricklewood and this set would move there in June. George Woods.
