The BLS 'Strathclyde Wanderer" railtour takes a break at Barrhead on its way to Kilmarnock. It was formed of 53245 + 59053 + 53239. Hamish Stevenson.

101324 stands at Stirling formed DMS 53245 (nearest) with TBS 59112 and DMBS 51253 (curiously containing two brake vans!) on 29/Mar/1986. I could not find any record of 53245 listed in 101324 in contemporary set lists although 51253 was, so maintenance requirements or failures might have caused reformations, which might also account for the two brake vans in the set. Another three car set listed had no brake van at all so both may have been temporary formations. Robert Chilton.
