The remaining fleet of Longsight allocated 101's saw out their last stint of operation working services from Piccadilly to Marple, Rose Hill, New Mills Central and Sheffield, before the last units were withdrawn on Christmas Eve 2003. The routes from Piccadilly to New Mills Central, Marple and Rose Hill Marple became the last regular stamping-ground for the Longsight allocated Class 101 fleet until they were withdrawn in 2003.
