A Class 105 2-car Cravens DMU seen in platform three at York station in August 1974. This is one of the 50370-4 batch with circular plates in place of the lower marker lamps. Chris McKee.

Heading north looking back over the engineering marvel that is the 1890 Forth Railway Bridge over the Firth of Forth. This is a view of the intricate steelwork (in the days when they still used to paint it!) from the dmu rear seat. The sloping desk means this is a Cravens vehicle, with it's shaped hand brake wheel on the left. Pete LG99.

A busy scene at Jesmond with a 3-car Class 101 and a 2-car Class 105. The Cravens set number appears to read 168, and that, along with the lack of destination blind suggests it's a recent transfer from Hamilton. Note also the two shades of yellow suggesting it has perhaps had repairs done. Undated, but mid-1970s. Ian Francis.

A two-car Cravens set approaches Watford North station and the level crossing over Bushey Mill Lane, working from St Albans Abbey on 18 January 1975. The factory on the left is the old Blaw Knox works which had closed back in the 1960s. The area on the left is now occupied by an industrial estate, totally screened from the railway by trees. On the billboards to the right is an advert for The Electric Scots. Kevin Lane.
