This route known as the Hallam Line would cross from North Eastern territory at the Leeds end onto Eastern Region lines at the Sheffield end.
The images show a variety of mainly Leeds allocated DMUs working the service: 108s, 110s, 111s and 114s.
This measured 4 7/8" x 3" when folded (1st image), opening up to 13 3/4" x 5 7/8".
A Met-Camm DMU with NE50150 closest seen departing from Sheffield. The notes with the negative, taken by HC Casserley, had 1964 yet the centre car is in Rail Blue (with painted window frames and 3" numbers) which dates it to a few years later. Stuart Mackay Collection.
