Ayr Variety. Largs station and an Ayr allocated BRCW Class 104 DMS Sc53525 is sitting at Platform 3. A Class 116 is visible in the background in the siding adjacent to Platform 1. It's Not Unusual. Perhaps, but it's a late Saturday afternoon and Swindon 126 413 has deposited a handful of passengers at Largs after arriving on a service from Glasgow Central. DMBSL Sc51043 is nearest the camera with DMSL Sc51017 recorded at the rear. TSL is presumably Sc59404. This is probably the reformed Set 413 (with DMSL swapped from the other remaining operational Set 406) prior to preservation. December 1982. alicia hartman.

Crossing Class 108s on a wet day at Llandrindod Wells. On the left S945 with 51925 is on the 12:22 Llandrindod-Swansea, on the right S943, 51561 visible, is working the 10:43 Shrewsbury-Llandrindod. These were normally through workings that terminated at Llandrindod Wells and returned to Swansea and Shrewsbury respectively, possibly due to one of the crews lack of route knowledge. 7 October 1989. An unusual view of the west end of Waverley station, Edinburgh, on the morning of 5/7/89. No trains were moving this day - it was the day of one of the weekly strikes staged by the NUR that summer. Almost every platform is filled with stabled stock.
