Cor-Ten Steel

colour advert

This was used on Cravens DMUs: the 105, 112, 113, and 129s.

The name was a genericised name for what we nowadays call weathering steel, and had been in use for the construction of railway passenger vehicles since at least 1936[1].

The illustration is a trade advert from the 1950s.
