23/04/56 - E79061-3 with E79277-9 were used to operate the British Industries Fair services between Birmingham New Street and Castle Bromwich which ran from the 23rd April to 4th May. Afterwards they were sent to Derby.
Nov-68 - 79063/79268 remained in service after their published withdrawal, 79061/79271 were withdrawn instead in November 1968.

After a spell in departmental use as a sandite / route learner vehicle, Pressed Steel bubble car 977722 was returned to passenger use for Chiltern Railways. The overhaul was done by LH Plant at Barton Under Needwood, as their job number GS79061. Taken on 5 February 2003. Stuart Mackay.
