The depot had 316 different vehicles allocated to it of types Class 101, Class 104, Class 105, Class 107, Class 108, Class 110, Class 111, Class 116, Class 122, Park Royal Railbus.
A railbus (or two) was allocated from 1963 to 1968.
The first DMUs to arrive in March 1972 were two and three-car sets from Hamilton to cover Springburn / Cumbernauld services, saving on ECS moves from Hamilton to Cowlairs. Others arrived soon after with the closure of Leith Central.
