Scarborough on 20th March 1976. In 1976 there were still two very impressive semaphore signal gantries at Scarborough station. A Rolls-Royce powered Met-Camm dmu passes under the most westerly gantry heading for Leeds in the setting sun. Falsgrave signal box is on the left. Both gantry & box still exist but since 2011 the gantry has been preserved at the NYMR and the box no longer controls any signalling.
