Honley, West Yorkshire 30th December 1982. On a grey mid-winter day, Honley station, opened in 1850 on the ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway line from Huddersfield to Penistone, plays host to two first generation diesel multiple units. Ours is heading for Clayton West station on the branch from Shepley Junction while the Down line train is Huddersfield-bound.
