A Manchester-bound diesel multiple unit arrives at Stoke railway station against the sun in March 1975. It is possible the DMU was running in place of EMUs due to the wires being switched off; in the foreground is a speed limit board which applies to the platform, off shot left, into which the dmu is headed.
