A Class 101 DMU calls at Morpeth (at 1304) with the 1235 Alnmouth-Newcastle on 09/12/1977. Surprisingly, the station canopy is still extant, although a fence has been erected along the right-hand edge of the platform, presumably as part of station rationalisation. A signal box is visible to the left of the canopy supporting post.
