On an overcast April 5th 1986 the Cravens/Gloucester twin formed of cars M53812 & M53355 accelerates away from Midge Hall whilst working the 16.07 Ormskirk to Preston. The odd pairing was due to these two cars being the last serviceable asbestos-free examples of their respective classes.
