On 29th March 1986 a well loaded 2K08 09.36 Kirkcaldy to Edinburgh service passes Saughton Junction in western Edinburgh in the form of Met-Camm 3 car unit 101 309. Containing two DMBS vehicles, the closest is a stand in and the vehicle number has a W or M prefix. The E&G line leading off to the left has, of course, now been electrified and the tram line runs to the left of the scene.
