On a dull February 28th 1982, there was an eclectic mix of vehicles lined-up in the yard at Lincoln TMD. The faded-looking Cravens Class 105 Driving Motor Brake Second E51281 had been partially stripped of parts and was withdrawn. Behind the Ventilated Van at its corridor connection end was Class 08 08277, a resident of Lincoln Depot since 1968 and had been withdrawn from service in November 1981 being eventually scrapped at Doncaster Works in July 1983. On the right is former Southern Railway 6-Wheel Milk Tank ADS4456 which had become a storage facility for waste coolant and lettered 'Not to be used for Milk'.
