Having spent much of my earlier years travelling on these units from Manchester Victoria to Hull, it was a change to see one at Piccadilly. Here, a class 124 Trans-Pennine unit is seen from the rear arriving at Platform 14 with a Liverpool bound express originating from the Eastern Region on June 23, 1974.
