One of the Bletchley allocated class 104 2-Car DMU sets is seen at Bedford St. Johns soon after arrival with stopping service 2C80 the 10.10 from Bletchley on October 15, 1983. The train will then reverse and return as 2A80 11.00 to Bletchley. This one time through station on the former L&NWR route to Cambridge closed on 14/05/1984 when Bletchley services were re routed over the freight only chord line to Bedford Midland station. A new Bedford St. Johns platform was built on the former freight line to the north west of the original station seen here.
