An official British Railways image (Eastern Region Negative AC472) which had a caption "Damaged Diesel Rail-Car at Stratford C. & W. Works. (Photographed specially for the use of C.M. & E.E. Department Derby)". It is dated August 5 1959 and shows a Derby Lightweight DTC undergoing cab end repairs. This is presumably after collision damage, with the twisted solebar and twist in the front of the bogie, the actual incident unknown.
