Class 108 DMU at Heysham Harbour

This must have been the furthest north a Buxton allocated DMU set worked at the time being synonymous generally with services South of Manchester. 3-car set BX 372 (53930+59148+52056) formed with two class 108 motor coaches and a class 104 intermediate trailer is seen shortly after arrival at Heysham Harbour on 2 June 1988. Set BX 372 having worked "Boat Train" 1P13 the 12.05 Stockport to Heysham Harbour with connection to Douglas on the Isle of Man by way of the IOM Steam Packet Co. Ferry.
